Limassol, Cyprus. Andreas Tsouloftas, president of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Evel), has assumed the presidency of the Limassol regional tourism board (Etap), it emerged on Thursday. He succeeds Tonis Antoniou, who died in December 2025 after a battle with cancer.
Transition in leadership
In a statement, the association said Tsouloftas is taking over at a particularly difficult moment and noted that Antoniou served the organisation with “dedication and consistency” and “left a significant mark on its work and overall course”.
Experience and stated objectives
The association said Tsouloftas brings “extensive experience in the business and institutional sector, as well as substantial knowledge of the needs and prospects of the local economy”. According to the announcement, his objective is to continue and strengthen the board’s work, with an emphasis on sustainable tourism development, cooperation with local bodies, and strengthening the international promotion of Limassol.
Board meeting sets priorities
During the board’s first meeting under Tsouloftas’ chairmanship on January 21, the main priorities for continuing its work were set. These focus on close cooperation with municipalities, bodies and tourism-sector businesses to promote and upgrade the Limassol tourism product, with the goal of further strengthening tourism development across the district.
