Nicosia, Cyprus. An autopsy carried out on Monday confirmed that police officer Andreas Antoniou, 28, died from a traumatic brain injury after a traffic accident in Nicosia last week.
Autopsy findings
The examination found that Antoniou’s death was caused by a traumatic brain injury and that he had multiple injuries to his body.
Crash details
The crash occurred last Friday on Griva Digeni Avenue in Engomi, when a car driven by a 23-year-old woman collided with the motorcycle ridden by Antoniou.
Hospital response
Antoniou, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Nicosia general hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
