Vavla, Cyprus. AVLI Sessions will return to the mountain village of Vavla on April 4 for its second open-air gathering, reactivating traditional Cypriot courtyards as cultural spaces. The event will be hosted in the courtyard of Vavla Rustic Retreat.
Performers and programme
Freedom Candlemaker and Nama Dama will share the stage for a performance under the spring sky. Freedom Candlemaker is known for atmospheric songwriting and live performances described as balancing intimacy with quiet intensity. Nama Dama moves between ritual and contemporary composition, drawing from polyphony, minimalism and multicultural influences.
Both artists have performed at Glastonbury Festival in the UK and have released new albums in 2025.
Local collaboration
A selection of local wines curated by Tablecloth will be available, alongside local products by Vavla’s Treasures, supporting local producers. Organisers said the event aims to foreground rural hospitality, artistic presence and support of local businesses.

The concert is curated by the newly founded The Open Nest Company. It is scheduled for 7.30pm on April 4 at Vavla Rustic Retreat in Vavla village, Larnaca district. Tickets are required, and attendance is limited.
