Nicosia, Cyprus. Students who excelled in mathematics competitions in Cyprus and abroad were honoured at Bank of Cyprus head offices during an awards ceremony organised by the Cyprus Mathematical Society with the bank’s support and cooperation. The event brought together students, parents, guardians and teachers.
Awards for mathematics achievements
According to the announcement, the ceremony recognised students who stood out in local, Pancyprian and international mathematics competitions, rewarding their dedication, perseverance and strong performance.
Support for STEM initiatives
The event also reflected the bank’s long-standing support for the younger generation, particularly in areas linked to STEM, namely science, technology, entrepreneurship and mathematics.
In this context, Bank of Cyprus has supported the Cyprus Mathematical Society since the early stages of its operation, actively contributing to the implementation and strengthening of its initiatives.
Parallel activities for students
Before the awards ceremony, students took part in parallel activities, including a Rubik’s Cube solving competition and a JOEY memory game, giving participants the opportunity to compete, test their skills and win prizes.

The strong presence of parents, guardians and teachers underlined the role they play in supporting children’s progress and encouraging them to pursue their interests.
