Bank of Cyprus reports total issued share capital and voting rights

Nicosia, Cyprus. Bank of Cyprus issued an update on its total issued share capital and voting rights, providing shareholders with figures for regulatory reporting. The bank said it has 435,962,305 ordinary shares in issue, each carrying one vote.


Issued share capital and voting rights

The bank said its total issued share capital stood at 435,962,305 ordinary shares, each with a nominal value of €0.10. It added that each ordinary share carries one vote, bringing the total number of voting rights to 435,962,305.

Treasury shares

Bank of Cyprus said it does not hold any treasury shares, meaning all issued shares are in circulation.

Regulatory reporting reference

The bank said the disclosure serves as a reference point for shareholders assessing disclosure obligations under applicable regulations. It added that the figure may be used as the denominator for calculations to determine whether shareholders are required to notify their interest or changes to their interest in the company.

Regulatory framework cited

The bank said the disclosure was made in line with the Irish Transparency Regulations derived from Directive 2004/109/EC, as amended. It also cited the Irish Central Bank Investment Market Conduct Rules 2019 as governing disclosure obligations for listed entities.
