Bank of Cyprus wins two Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2026 for second straight year

Nicosia, Cyprus. Bank of Cyprus said it received two distinctions at the Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2026, marking a second consecutive year of recognition. It was named Best Private Bank in Cyprus and Best for High-Net-Worth individuals in Cyprus.

Awards and evaluation period

The awards were granted by Euromoney, a provider of competitive intelligence and certification for the global banking and finance industry. The evaluation period covered July 2024 to June 2025.

Recognition of private and affluent banking initiatives

Bank of Cyprus said the awards recognised achievements in Private and Affluent Banking, including enhanced advisory capabilities and progress in digital initiatives such as digital onboarding.

Focus on PrivilEDGE

Euromoney cited the bank’s PrivilEDGE offering, which the bank said has reshaped services for high-income clients in Cyprus through personalised relationship management, an enhanced banking experience, and exclusive lifestyle privileges. Euromoney said simplified pricing, dedicated relationship management, and access to model and bespoke portfolios improved the bank’s ability to meet complex client needs.

Bank statements and performance highlights

Christos M. Ioannou, Head of Private and Affluent Banking at Bank of Cyprus, said recognition from Euromoney “fills us with pride,” and said the bank aimed to remain at the top by supporting clients with upgraded banking and investment services and strategies. He added that the bank would continue to evolve and strengthen PrivilEDGE. Euromoney also highlighted what it described as strong performance during the review period, citing momentum in growth and client engagement.
