Batch of frozen fish recalled due to high mercury levels

A batch of swordfish steaks was frozen on September 24th 2015 and the best before date was stated December 1st 2017.

The laboratory analysis showed a content of 1.3 μg of mercury per kilogram of fillets. This exceeds the maximum allowable value by 30%.

In this regard, Cyprus public health service encourages buyers to return the product to the store or dispose it.
