Antalya, Turkey. At least nine people were killed and 26 injured when a bus overturned on a motorway in the southern resort city of Antalya, according to the regional governor.
Casualties and response
Antalya governor Hulusi Sahin said eight people died at the scene and 26 injured passengers were taken to hospitals in the area. He did not say whether any of the dead or injured were foreign nationals. Some of the injured are in serious condition.
Crash circumstances
The bus, carrying 34 passengers from Raidestos (Tekirdag) to Antalya, overturned at 10.20am local time on a motorway made slippery by rain, the governor said. He added that there was also fog and described the location as a junction where drivers should not be travelling fast, saying it appeared the bus entered at high speed.
