Limassol, Cyprus. Police said they found cannabis, flares and a firecracker at the home of a 25-year-old man in Limassol. The man was arrested on Saturday afternoon after officers stopped his vehicle for a check.
Vehicle search and arrest
Police said that after assessing information, officers stopped a vehicle driven by the 25-year-old on Saturday afternoon. During a search, officers found and seized a handmade cigarette containing traces of cannabis, a metal grinder with a small amount of cannabis, and a precision digital scale.
Police said the man was arrested for a flagrant offence.
Search of residence
Following the arrest, police carried out a search at the man’s residence, where they said they located and confiscated cannabis with a total gross weight of 220 grammes, 20 factory-made hand flares, a factory-made firecracker and one live round of military-grade ammunition.
Investigation
Police said the anti-drug squad (Ykan) and Limassol CID are continuing investigations.
