Athens, Greece. Eurobank S.A. said The Capital Group Companies, Inc. reduced its indirect holding in the bank to below 5% of voting rights. The bank said the holding now stands at 4.96%, corresponding to 180,069,024 voting rights.
Notification under Greek law
Eurobank said the announcement was made pursuant to article 14 of L. 3556/2007, as in force, following a notification received from the US-based investment group. The bank said the notification indicated the voting rights held indirectly by The Capital Group Companies, Inc. fell below 5% of the total number of voting rights in Eurobank.

Eurobank said The Capital Group Companies, Inc., referred to as CGC, holds 4.96% of Eurobank’s share capital, corresponding to 180,069,024 voting rights attached to ordinary shares. Eurobank said the full chain of companies through which the voting rights are effectively held was also disclosed.

Eurobank said The Capital Group Companies, Inc. is the parent company of Capital Research and Management Company and Capital Bank & Trust Company. It said Capital Research and Management Company, known as CRMC, is a US-based investment management company serving as investment manager to the American Funds family of mutual funds, other pooled investment vehicles, and individual and institutional clients.
Affiliates and investment divisions
Eurobank said CRMC and its affiliated investment managers oversee equity assets for various investment companies through Capital Research Global Investors, Capital International Investors and Capital World Investors. It said CRMC is also the parent company of Capital Group International, Inc., referred to as CGII, which in turn is the parent company of six investment management companies described as the CGII management companies.
