Central Bank of Cyprus launches public survey ahead of March 26 financial literacy event

Nicosia, Cyprus. The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) has launched a short public survey to record people’s perceptions and feelings about savings and investment issues ahead of a financial literacy event on March 26, 2026.

Survey launched ahead of European citizens dialogue event

The CBC said the survey is being conducted in preparation for the event titled “Financial literacy for life – European citizens dialogue”, which will take place with the participation of European Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union Maria Luís Albuquerque and CBC governor Christodoulos Patsalides.

The central bank said the initiative aims to capture public sentiment on saving and investing so that policymakers can better understand citizens’ concerns and expectations.

Questionnaire availability and participation details

The questionnaire has been available since February 24, 2026 and will remain open until February 28, 2026. The CBC said the survey can be completed by following an online link provided and that it takes less than three minutes.

Participation is anonymous and only basic demographic information is collected, specifically gender, age group and district of residence.

How responses will be used and event broadcast

The CBC said participation will allow the European Commissioner and the CBC governor to hear citizens’ concerns and reflections directly, and that responses will help the two officials better understand the needs of citizens and provide answers during the scheduled event.

The event will be broadcast live on March 26, 2026 between 15:15 and 16:15 via the CBC’s official YouTube channel.
