Nicosia, Cyprus. President Nikos Christodoulides said his upcoming visit to India marks a crucial point in further strengthening the “already excellent” relationship between Cyprus and India. He is expected to visit New Delhi and Mumbai and sign several agreements.
Visit follows Modi trip and aims to broaden cooperation
Speaking on Tuesday, Christodoulides said the trip follows the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Cyprus last June, where, he said, the foundations were laid for strategic cooperation beyond political issues to include the economy, investments and tourism.
Christodoulides said he will travel on Wednesday, with visits planned to New Delhi and Mumbai, and that several agreements are expected to be signed.
Modi visited Cyprus in June 2025 and met Christodoulides in several bilateral meetings focusing primarily on bilateral investment and trade.
