Nicosia, Cyprus. CVAR in Nicosia is presenting an archival photography exhibition featuring images of The English School Nicosia from 1900 to 1960. The “From Vision to Legacy” exhibition will be on display from Tuesday to February 24 to mark the school’s 125th anniversary.
Exhibition and organisers
The exhibition is organised by CVAR and The English School Nicosia and is intended to preserve and showcase the school’s heritage.
Project phases and digitisation
Organisers said the project was completed in two phases, beginning with a photographic exhibition presented in November 2025 at the Headmaster’s Lodge. The school’s legacy has been digitised with the contribution of the Centre of Visual Arts and Research and is being presented to the public for the first time.
Organisers’ statement
Organisers described The English School as “an educational institution of academic distinction and a point of reference for education in Cyprus,” adding that it continues to innovate while maintaining its position within Cyprus and the international educational community. They said the school’s mission remains to provide high-quality education within a multicultural environment that promotes students’ safety, wellbeing and creativity.

The exhibition runs February 10-24 at CVAR – Severis Foundation in Nicosia. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30am to 5pm, with an opening night scheduled for 6.30pm.
