Avgorou, Cyprus. Cyherbia Botanical Park & Labyrinth has announced a programme of nature-themed workshops and events in January and February. The park will offer tea-related activities, craft workshops, and foraging seminars focused on native Cyprus plants.
January workshops and tea events
Cyherbia will hold a Personalised Tea Blending Workshop on Sunday, offering participants the chance to create an herbal tea blend to take home using a selection of herbs. The workshop costs €15 and includes the park entrance ticket, with other activities priced according to event needs.
On January 31, the park will host a Complimentary Tea Tasting from 9am to 4pm, as well as a Soap, Bath Bomb & Candle Workshop. No booking is required for these activities, and visitors can attend the next available slot.
February programme, including rosemary distillation
On Sunday 1 February, Cyherbia will hold a Rosemary Essential Oil Distillation demonstrating the process of rosemary essential oil distillation. Soap, bath bomb and candle workshops will also be available throughout the day.
Wild Greens of Cyprus seminars and woodland walks
A foraging seminar and educational woodland walk will take place on multiple dates in February, with slots in English and Greek. Herbalist and Cyherbia founder Miranda Tringis will lead participants on a walk to discover edible wild greens of Cyprus, focusing on recognising them in nature, understanding health benefits, and how they are traditionally prepared and cooked.
Titled Wild Greens of Cyprus, the event is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14 and 15, running 11.30pm-1pm for English-speakers and 2pm-3.30pm for Greek-speakers. The €20 price includes the seminar, a free-book, tastings made with wild greens, herbal tea and a Q&A.
Late-February tea tastings and Green Monday event
On February 21 and 22, the park will hold tea tastings and Natural Cosmetics workshops. On February 23, Cyherbia will host a Green Monday celebration featuring traditional games, outdoor activities for all ages and a vegan buffet.
