Cyprus and Greece to renew investment cooperation with Invest Cyprus-Enterprise Greece memorandum

Athens, Greece. Cyprus and Greece will renew and expand cooperation in foreign investment through a strategic memorandum of cooperation between Invest Cyprus and Enterprise Greece. The signing will take place in Athens during a business presentations summit on April 21.


Memorandum signing and participants

The agreement will be signed by Invest Cyprus director general Marios Tannousis and Enterprise Greece president and secretary general for international economic relations and extroversion Dimitris Skalkos, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral investment ties.

Business summit on Cyprus tax system

The signing will take place during the second business presentations summit of Cyprus in Greece, titled “The new changes in the tax system of Cyprus,” to be held on April 21 from 10:00 to 14:30 at the Theoharakis Foundation amphitheatre in central Athens.

The event aims to present Cyprus’ new tax system to Greek businesses as Greek investment flows into Cyprus continue to increase steadily.

Presentations and speakers

The main presentation will be delivered by tax commissioner Sotiris A. Markides, who will outline reforms and developments in the Cypriot tax framework.

Audit and legal firms will also present services offered to Greek businesses and investors seeking to expand their presence in Cyprus.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Cyprus ambassador to Athens Stavros Avgoustidis, Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Stavros Stavrou, and Cyprus–Greece Business Association president Iosif Iosif.

Speakers will include Enterprise Greece president Dimitris Skalkos, Invest Cyprus director general Marios Tannousis, Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus president Odysseas Christodoulou, and Cyprus Bar Association president Michalis Vorkas.

Broader investment cooperation

At the conclusion of the event, Invest Cyprus and Enterprise Greece will proceed with the formal signing of the renewed strategic memorandum, reinforcing investment-sector cooperation between Cyprus and Greece.

The initiative reflects a broader effort to strengthen economic collaboration and promote cross-border investment opportunities between the two countries.
