Nicosia, Cyprus. Annual consumer inflation in Cyprus stood at an estimated 4 per cent in July 2026, according to preliminary Eurostat data released on Friday. The rate eased slightly from 4.1 per cent in June, while consumer prices rose by 0.3 per cent month-on-month.

The July annual rate marked a substantial increase from the 0.1 per cent recorded in July 2025. Inflation had accelerated to 3.5 per cent year-on-year in May 2026 before rising further in June.
Eurostat calculates inflation figures for Cyprus and the wider euro area using the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices.
Euro area figures
Euro area annual inflation rose to 2.9 per cent in July 2026 from 2.8 per cent in June, according to the EU statistical authority’s flash estimate.
Energy prices were expected to record the highest annual rate among the main components, at 10 per cent in July, compared with 8.5 per cent in June. Services inflation also increased to 3.3 per cent from 3.2 per cent.
