Cyprus flight cancellations continue amid escalating regional conflict with Iran

Larnaca, Cyprus. Flight disruptions linked to the escalating regional conflict with Iran continued into Tuesday, with airlines cancelling a significant number of services to and from Cyprus.


Israel routes among the most affected

Flights arriving from Israel were among the most heavily impacted.
Services from Tel Aviv operated by Sundor, Tus Airways, and Cyprus Airways were cancelled throughout the day, as were multiple arrivals from Haifa operated by Air Haifa.
Israeli carriers Arkia and Israir also cancelled scheduled services.

European services cancelled across several carriers

European routes were similarly affected, with Lufthansa cancelling flights connecting Larnaca with both Frankfurt and Munich, while Austrian Airlines suspended its Vienna services.
Eurowings cancelled its Dusseldorf rotation, and Edelweiss Air called off its Zurich flight.

UK and long-haul connections also disrupted

British connections were also disrupted, with British Airways cancelling multiple Heathrow and Gatwick services.
Long-haul and regional routes beyond Europe were not spared, with Emirates cancelling services to and from Dubai and Malta, while Qatar Airways suspended its Doha connection.
Cyprus Airways additionally cancelled all flights to Beirut.

Departures from Larnaca reflect cancellations in arrivals

Outbound services from Larnaca mirrored the pattern seen in arrivals, with numerous departures to Israel, Europe and the Gulf called off across the same carriers.
