Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus is forecast to experience a predominantly sunny weekend, with temperatures remaining close to seasonal averages. Isolated showers or thunderstorms may develop in Troodos and some inland areas during the afternoons, but conditions are expected to stay largely dry elsewhere.
Friday outlook
Friday will begin mostly clear across the island, although some localised mist and low cloud may form early in the morning before clearing quickly.
Later in the day, cloud is expected to develop, bringing a small chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms in Troodos during the afternoon.
Temperatures
Temperatures are expected to reach around 34C in Nicosia. Larnaca and Kyrenia are forecast to see about 30C.
In Limassol and Paphos, temperatures will be slightly lower at around 28C, while Troodos is expected to reach approximately 24C.
Weekend and Monday forecast
Mainly sunny weather is expected to continue through Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with prolonged periods of sunshine across most parts of the island.
Some cloud is forecast to develop during the afternoons, particularly over Troodos and parts of the Nicosia and Famagusta districts.
Isolated showers or thunderstorms cannot be ruled out in these areas, although any such activity is expected to be limited and short-lived. Elsewhere, conditions are expected to remain largely dry with extensive sunshine throughout the weekend.
