Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus’s Index of Industrial Output Prices reached 125.7 units in May 2026, rising by 3.0 per cent compared with April 2026, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat). On an annual basis, the index increased by 2.5 per cent compared with May 2025.
January to May performance
For the period from January to May 2026, the index recorded an overall increase of 0.6 per cent compared with the corresponding period of 2025.
Monthly sector changes
From April to May 2026, the index remained unchanged in the mining and quarrying sector. Electricity supply recorded the largest monthly increase at 13.4 per cent.
Water supply and materials recovery rose by 2.1 per cent on a monthly basis, while the manufacturing sector increased by 0.8 per cent.
Annual sector changes
Compared with May 2025, all industrial sectors recorded price increases in May 2026. Water supply and materials recovery posted the largest annual rise at 7.3 per cent, followed by electricity supply at 4.7 per cent.
The manufacturing sector recorded an annual increase of 1.8 per cent, while mining and quarrying rose by 1.7 per cent.
