Cyprus industrial production index rises 8.5% in November 2025, led by manufacturing and mining

Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus’ Industrial Production Index rose to 111.2 units in November 2025, an 8.5% increase compared with November 2024, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat). The index uses 2021 as the base year, set at 100 units.


Trend for January to November 2025

Cystat reported that for the period from January 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025, the index increased by 3.7% compared with the corresponding period in 2024.

Sector performance in November

Manufacturing increased by 9.6% compared with November 2024. Mining and quarrying rose by 32.5%, while water supply and materials recovery increased by 4.7%. Electricity supply contracted by 0.9% over the same month.

Key changes within manufacturing

The largest increase within manufacturing was recorded in other non-metallic mineral products, up 83.6% year on year. Furniture and other manufacturing, along with the repair and installation of machinery and equipment, rose by 10.3%.

Wood and products of wood and cork, excluding furniture, increased by 9.3%, while basic metals and fabricated metal products rose by 8.9%.

The only decline within manufacturing was in textiles, wearing apparel, and leather products, which fell by 1.2%.
