Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus recorded more than 3.1 million guest nights in short-term rental accommodation during the third quarter of 2025, according to Eurostat. The data point to strong activity in platform-based tourism.

Cyprus third-quarter figures

Eurostat reported that Cyprus registered 3,104,502 nights booked via online platforms such as Airbnb, Booking, and Expedia between July and September 2025. Cyprus was counted as a single region due to its size.

The Cyprus figures were included in a wider Eurostat release covering national and regional trends in short-stay accommodation across the European Union. Eurostat said the figures are based on monthly data collected from online accommodation platforms.

Across the EU, guests spent a total of 172.30 million nights in short-term rentals during the fourth quarter of 2025. This was an increase of 10.90 per cent compared with the same quarter of 2024 and a rise of 30.20 per cent compared with the final quarter of 2023.

Full-year 2025 results

For the full year, Eurostat data showed guests spent 951.60 million nights in short-stay accommodation booked through online platforms in 2025. This represents an increase of 11.40 per cent compared with 2024 and a rise of 32.40 per cent compared with 2023.
