Nicosia, Cyprus. President Nikos Christodoulides condemned recent missile and drone attacks against the United Arab Emirates and expressed Cyprus’ full support for the country and its leadership.

In a post on X, Christodoulides said he “strongly condemns” the attacks and conveyed his solidarity with Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the people of the UAE.
Call for de-escalation and international law
He said Cyprus stands firmly alongside the UAE and its regional partners, citing a shared commitment to de-escalation, full respect for international law, and the promotion of peace and stability.
Link between Middle East and European security
Christodoulides said regional instability has broader implications, adding that the security of the Middle East is closely linked to the security of Europe.
