Cyprus repatriates 119 migrants in police and migration ministry operation

Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus repatriated 119 migrants residing illegally in the country on Friday through operations involving police and the deputy migration ministry.

Police said 5,288 migrants residing illegally in Cyprus had been repatriated since January 1 through voluntary and mandatory return procedures.

Arrivals and returns

Since the beginning of the year, 856 migrants residing illegally have arrived in Cyprus, compared with 1,299 during the corresponding period in 2025.

Continued operations

Police said they would continue repatriation operations in cooperation with other services.
