Cyprus ship management revenues hit €1 billion in second half of 2025, chamber says

Limassol, Cyprus. Cyprus’ ship management sector remained a key source of stability for the economy in the second half of 2025, with revenues reaching €1 billion and accounting for 5.4% of GDP, according to results presented at a Cyprus Shipping Chamber meeting.

Survey results presented by the chamber

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber said the findings were based on the Central Bank of Cyprus’ semi-annual survey on the sector’s performance and pointed to the continued strength of ship management companies operating from Cyprus and serving shipowners both locally and internationally.

According to the chamber, revenues from July 1 to December 31, 2025 rose by 2.3% compared with the first half of the year.

Total 2025 revenues exceed €1.9 billion

Combined with the first six months of 2025, total sector revenues exceeded €1.9 billion for the first time, marking the highest level recorded in the 2020-2025 period.

Central bank discussion and long-term tracking

The survey, carried out twice a year by the balance of payments service of the Central Bank of Cyprus statistics department, was discussed on Wednesday afternoon by chamber members alongside Chryso Aristidou, senior officer at the bank’s statistics department.

The chamber said the survey has, since March 2009, consistently recorded the long-term, stable and growing contribution of ship management companies based in Cyprus.

It added that the latest results confirmed the sector’s expanding role in supporting economic activity, employment and the country’s international competitiveness, and said the outcome showed that Cyprus shipping and ship management remain among the country’s most important contributors to growth.
