Düsseldorf, Germany. Cyprus participated for the fifth consecutive year with a state pavilion at ProWein 2026, the international wine and spirits exhibition held in Düsseldorf between March 15 and March 17, 2026. The Ministry of Commerce said seven Cypriot wineries took part, highlighting indigenous grape varieties.

Cyprus pavilion and participating wineries

The ministry said the Cypriot wineries showcased the uniqueness of indigenous grape varieties and presented a wide range of wines. It added that participating wineries promoted their products and held commercial meetings with existing and potential partners.

Wine tastings and presentations

According to the announcement, wine tastings were held at the Cyprus pavilion for the first time this year to provide visitors with a more interactive experience. Three presentations with tastings focused on Commandaria and the native Cypriot grape varieties Xynisteri, Maratheftiko and Yiannoudi.
