Cyprus tourism revenues hit record €3.69 billion in 2025, Cystat says

Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus’ tourism revenues climbed to a record €3.69 billion in 2025, up 15.2% from the previous year, according to the state statistical service (Cystat). December receipts also increased, though average spending per tourist declined.


Record annual revenues

Cystat said tourism revenues for January to December 2025 reached €3.69 billion, compared with €3.2 billion in the corresponding period of 2024, an increase of €486 million.

December receipts rise

Tourism receipts in December rose to €96.7 million, up 11.3% from €86.9 million in December 2024.

Average spending per tourist declines

Average expenditure per tourist in December 2025 fell to €616.29, compared with €653.27 a year earlier, a decrease of 5.7%.

Daily spending by key markets

Israeli tourists, the largest source market in December with 19.1% of total arrivals, spent an average of €145.03 per day. British visitors, accounting for 19% of arrivals, spent €65.39 per day, while tourists from Poland, with an 11.3% share, recorded average daily expenditure of €85.69.
