Nicosia, Cyprus. The transport ministry on Wednesday issued a decree prohibiting civil drone flights over the territory and territorial waters of the Republic of Cyprus with immediate effect.
Decree and scope
The ministry’s civil aviation department said the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works signed the decree due to current security conditions, banning flights of civil unmanned aircraft for any reason over the Republic’s territory and territorial waters.
Compliance and duration
The ministry urged the public to fully comply with the decree, which will remain in force until further notice.
