Nicosia, Cyprus. Wholesale trade turnover in Cyprus rose in the fourth quarter of 2025, while sales and repair of motor vehicles were unchanged from the same quarter a year earlier, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat).
Fourth-quarter results
Cystat said the turnover value index of wholesale trade (division 46) increased by 9.3 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
During the same quarter, the turnover value index of sales and repair of motor vehicles (division 45) showed no change compared with the corresponding quarter of 2024.
Full-year estimates for 2025
For the period January to December 2025, Cystat estimated the turnover value index of wholesale trade (division 46) increased by 5.9 per cent compared with the same period of the previous year.
For the same twelve-month period, the turnover value index of sales and repair of motor vehicles (division 45) was estimated to have increased by 3.0 per cent compared with the corresponding period of 2024.
Sector trends
The figures show continued growth in wholesale trade activity during 2025, while the motor vehicles trade and repair sector recorded more moderate growth over the full year despite remaining unchanged in the final quarter.
