Cyprus will ratify the Climate change Treaty on the 9th of December

The Minister of Agriculture Mr. Nicos Kouyialis stated that the Treaty of Paris concerning the climate change has been already approved by the Council of Ministers.

By signing this treaty, Cyprus will establish a large-scale action plan, which is aimed at mitigating the human-made causes of the global warming. The European Union has already signed the Treaty one month ago and is planning to to reduce the harmful emissions into the atmosphere by 40% by the year 2030.

The Paris Treaty was drafted after the climate conference in Paris in December 2015. Back then, it was signed by 195 countries of the world.
