Nicosia, Cyprus. The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) announced on Friday that it had imposed administrative fines on 12 listed companies for breaching transparency rules on the publication of annual financial reports for 2024.

The regulator said its board decided the sanctions at a meeting on June 8, 2026, and published the announcement on August 7, 2026.


Legal provisions

The fines were imposed under the Transparency Requirements (Securities Admitted to Trading on a Regulated Market) Law of 2007, as amended.

According to CySEC, the penalties relate to breaches of section 9(1), concerning the publication of annual financial reports. Several companies were also found to have breached section 37(2)(a) of the same law.

Fines imposed

KDM Shipping Public Limited and Toxotis Investments Public Ltd received the highest fines, with each penalised €17,000 for breaches of sections 9(1) and 37(2)(a).

Dome Investments Public Company Limited, A. Tsokkos Hotels Public Limited and Karyes Investment Public Company Ltd were each fined €16,500 for breaches of both provisions.

Cyprus Trading Corporation Plc received a €9,500 administrative fine for violating section 9(1).

MLK Foods Public Company Ltd and Agroton Public Limited were each fined €8,500 for violating sections 9(1) and 37(2)(a).

Ermes Department Stores Plc received a €7,000 fine for breaching section 9(1), while Woolworth (Cyprus) Properties Plc was fined €6,500 for violating the same provision.
