Nicosia, Cyprus. Demetra Holdings PLC said it completed the purchase of 6,540 of its own shares on May 18 through Cyprus Investment and Securities Corporation Limited (CISCO). The company said the buyback was carried out weeks ahead of its annual general meeting scheduled for June 30, 2026.
Share buyback details
The company said the transaction was executed at a price of €1.54 per share and in accordance with Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) regulations, Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) circulars, and the Companies Law. It added that the buyback comprised two separate transactions of 6,248 shares and 292 shares completed during the same trading session.
Shareholder authorisation and upcoming meeting
Demetra Holdings said the move followed prior shareholder authorisation granted at the previous annual general meeting, as it prepares to convene its twenty-sixth annual general assembly. The company said the meeting will be held at the Allwyn hall in the Olympic House in Nicosia on June 30, 2026, at 11:00am.
Agenda items
The company said shareholders will consider ordinary business, including examination of the management report, the consolidated management report, and the corporate governance report for the year ended December 31, 2025. The agenda also includes the presentation of the audited consolidated financial statements of the company and its group for the 2025 financial year, along with the reports of the directors and the auditors.
Board elections and auditor appointment
Demetra Holdings said investors will vote through separate ballots on the re-election of retiring board members, including four proposed independent non-executive directors, one non-independent non-executive director, and one non-independent executive director. The company said shareholders will also vote on setting director remuneration and on reappointing Grant Thornton Cyprus Limited as statutory auditors, as well as authorising the board to fix the auditors’ annual remuneration.
