Driver arrested in Limassol after crashing into five parked cars, police say

Limassol, Cyprus. A 56-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday night after allegedly hitting four parked cars and damaging a fifth while drink driving, police said. No injuries were reported.


Crash sequence and damage

Police said the incident occurred at about 10pm in Limassol. The man allegedly hit one parked car and continued driving, subsequently striking another three parked cars.

Police said the fourth car was pushed forward and hit the vehicle in front before the man’s vehicle was brought to a halt. The crash caused material damage.

Breath test and arrest

A breathalyser test indicated 112μg, police said, compared with the 22μg legal limit. The man was taken in for a final alcotest and then arrested, police said.
