Kotovsk, Russia. Seven logistics workers were killed and 25 others injured after Ukrainian drone strikes hit a Wildberries warehouse in the Tambov region, Russian authorities said on Saturday.
Warehouse strike
Tambov Governor Evgeniy Pervyshov said the victims were employees working the night shift at the warehouse in Kotovsk, about 475 kilometres southeast of Moscow.
He said air defence units intercepted 28 drones approaching the area and claimed the number of civilian casualties could have been higher if the drones had reached their intended targets.
Fire near Moscow
In a separate incident, Moscow Regional Governor Andrei Vorobyov said debris from a downed drone caused a fire at a commercial oil depot in Noginsk.
Two residents were injured, Vorobyov said. Emergency services evacuated a neighbouring maternity hospital following the explosion and fire.
