Nicosia, Cyprus. Eight Ukrainian children affected by Russia’s war have spent a holiday in Cyprus under an initiative by President Nikos Christodoulides.

The visit was organised through cooperation between several Cypriot and Ukrainian institutions, as well as tourism and airline companies.

Cooperation for the visit

The trip was made possible through cooperation between the president’s office, the foreign ministry, the deputy tourism ministry and Cyprus’ embassy in Kyiv.

The Ukrainian ombudsman’s office, the Child Rights Protection Centre, tour operator Join UP and SkyUp Airlines were also involved.

Activities in Cyprus

During their stay, the children experienced Cyprus’ beaches, nature, cuisine and culture, creating positive memories away from the realities of war.
