Emirates suspends all Dubai hub flights until 3:00 PM UAE time on March 2, 2026

Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Emirates airline announced a total suspension of all flight operations to and from its Dubai hub until 3:00 PM (15:00) UAE time on Monday, March 2, 2026. The move follows aviation disruption in the Middle East and a temporary, partial closure of UAE airspace, according to the country’s aviation authority.

Suspension and airspace measures

Emirates said the suspension comes as the region faces aviation disruption following military strikes attributed to the United States and Israel against Iran. The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) implemented a temporary and partial closure of national airspace as a “precautionary safety measure” amid a rapidly evolving security environment.

Impact on travelers and guidance

The suspension affects travelers using Dubai International Airport (DXB), described as the world’s busiest for international travel, as a transit point. Emirates advised passengers not to proceed to the airport and to check flight status online.

Customer travel timing and regional disruptions

Emirates said it outlined options for customers booked to travel on or before March 2. The airline said the ground stop in Dubai is part of broader regional commercial aviation disruption, with similar suspensions reported across the Gulf.

Airline response

Emirates said it is “actively monitoring the situation and engaging with relevant authorities,” adding that passenger and crew safety remains its highest priority.
