ERB Asfalistiki delivers fire safety simulator to Cyprus Fire Service during Fire Safety Week 2026

Nicosia, Cyprus. ERB Asfalistiki said it has strengthened the Cyprus Fire Service’s training capabilities by delivering a fire safety training simulator during Fire Safety Week 2026. The delivery marks the 25th consecutive year of partnership between ERB Asfalistiki and the service.

Campaign message and official auspices

The central message of this year’s public awareness campaign is “Let’s not leave our dreams turn into ashes!”, focusing on the importance of fire safety and prevention measures. The initiative is being held from April 20, 2026 to April 26, 2026 under the auspices of Justice Minister Costas Fytiris.

Press conference launching the week’s activities

The week’s activities were launched at a press conference at the headquarters of ERB Cyprus Insurance Holdings. Speakers included the Justice Minister, Chief Fire Officer Nicos Logginos, the CEO of ERB Insurance Holdings Group Takis Phidia, and the General Manager of ERB Asfalistiki Andreas C. Stylianou.

Training simulator delivery and investment

ERB Asfalistiki delivered a second fire safety training simulator to the Cyprus Fire Service, identified as the Attack Digital Fire Training Panel. The delivery follows the earlier provision of the Intelligent System Training simulator on March 23, 2026, with the combined value of the two systems exceeding €40,000.

Training focus and environmental impact

The systems are designed to provide realistic training for newly recruited firefighters and members of the public, while maintaining a low environmental impact.

Open Day in Paphos

A key event during the week is an Open Day scheduled for April 25, 2026, to be held in front of the Medieval Castle of Paphos.
