Etap Paphos reports strong engagement in domestic tourism campaign

Paphos, Cyprus. The Paphos regional tourism board, Etap Paphos, said its summer campaign to attract domestic tourism has reached its peak, reporting strong engagement from Cyprus residents. A parallel campaign promoting Polis Chrysochous and the Akamas region is also being implemented.

Campaign strategy

Etap Paphos said the strategy aims to remind permanent residents of Cyprus of the experiences available across the Paphos region through digital marketing initiatives.

The campaign has used targeted advertising on Facebook and Instagram, as well as promotional videos and photography showcasing the region’s tourism offering. The organisation has also run online competitions with prizes to increase public participation and awareness.

Focus on Polis and Akamas

The parallel campaign highlights the natural landscape, beaches, peaceful surroundings and relaxation opportunities in Polis Chrysochous and the Akamas region.

The campaign has recorded more than 200,000 engagements, including more than 40,500 direct interactions with promotional messages. Online competitions and prize draws attracted more than 50,000 interactions in various forms.

“Paphos remains the leading quality destination for the residents of Cyprus,” said Etap Paphos president Michalis Mitas.
