EU’s Kaja Kallas warns of perilous Middle East developments, says bloc coordinating with Arab partners

Brussels, Belgium. European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas warned on Saturday that the latest developments across the Middle East were “perilous,” and said the bloc was coordinating with Arab partners to explore diplomatic paths forward.

Kallas said the EU was working with Arab partners to examine diplomatic options in response to the situation in the Middle East.

Consular assistance for EU citizens

Kallas said she had spoken with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar and that Europe’s consular network was facilitating departures for EU citizens in the region.
