Eurostat estimates Cyprus annual inflation rose to 1.5% in March 2026

Nicosia, Cyprus. Eurostat said annual inflation in Cyprus is estimated to have risen to 1.5% in March 2026, up from 0.9% in February. The monthly inflation rate in Cyprus was 1% in March 2026.


Cyprus inflation estimates

Eurostat reported that Cyprus inflation accelerated on an annual basis to 1.5% in March 2026. Compared with March 2025, when inflation reached 2.1%, the March 2026 rate was lower.

Euro area inflation outlook

In the euro area, Eurostat said annual inflation is expected to reach 2.5% in March, up from 1.9% in February.

Drivers of eurozone inflation

Eurostat said the rise in eurozone inflation was primarily driven by energy prices, which are expected to increase 4.9% annually in March after a 3.1% decline in February. Services inflation is projected at 3.2%, down from 3.4% the previous month, while food, alcohol and tobacco inflation is expected at 2.4% compared with 2.5% in February. Non-energy industrial goods are projected to rise 0.5% annually, down from 0.7% a month earlier.
