Evening dining at TGI Fridays on Larnaca’s Finikoudes

Larnaca, Cyprus. An evening stroll along the Finikoudes promenade led to dinner at TGI Fridays as the sea breeze eased during the summer heat.

Promenade visit

The Finikoudes promenade was busy with people enjoying the evening, while a breeze from the sea initially made the conditions more comfortable. When the breeze stopped around dinner time, TGI Fridays was chosen for its cool and comfortable setting.

Menu and drinks

The restaurant’s extensive menu included dishes featuring its Jack Daniel’s glaze, including burgers and ribs, as well as fajitas, steaks, salads, pasta dishes and the Fridays Sampler.

The order included a burger topped with a full pork rib and Cajun-coated shrimp. Bottomless soft drinks were also ordered, with staff regularly refilling the glass.

Main courses

The burger was served with a large pork rib placed on top and held by a knife, alongside chips and a dipping sauce. The beef was juicy, while red onion added crunch and sweetness. The pork rib was tender and easily separated from the bone. The burger was generously filled and was cut in half to eat.

The Cajun shrimp was presented with prawns spread over a large serving of chips. The prawns were a good size and had a firm texture, while the Cajun seasoning provided warmth without being overly spicy. The dish was considered enjoyable but not especially memorable.

Dessert

Dessert choices included a brownie with ice cream and an ice cream sandwich with Biscoff biscuits topped with hot fudge sauce.
