Kokkinotrimithia, Cyprus. A fire that broke out at a poultry farm in the area between Kokkinotrimithia and Mammari on Sunday was brought under full control, the fire service said.
Fire contained after spreading through workshop
According to the fire service, the blaze started in a metal building used as a workshop and spread to the main workshop area, causing extensive damage. The fire broke out at around 3pm and was brought under control by 4:20pm.
Gas cylinders and vehicles affected
Four cylinders of inert gas (carbon dioxide) were involved in the fire and were later cooled by fire services. The fire also affected two motor vehicles parked in the area, as well as workshop equipment.
Cause under investigation
The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation.
