Witness accounts from Palm Jumeirah
A worker at a business on Palm Jumeirah told iefimerida that customers and staff fled the scene. “The customers obviously ran and we left too. A piece fell, possibly from an interception,” she said.
Reports of fragments and interceptions
Another Greek worker described the moment fragments fell on Palm Jumeirah, as seen from the nearby Dubai Marina. “We are inside the restaurant, we have closed up, we can hear the bangs, the smell is strong in the air, interceptions are visible in the sky. We are trying to stay calm and leave the area. We have no information at the moment,” she said.
