Within the framework of the campaign aimed at prevention of the mouth cancer, everyone will be able to have a free check-up at the dentist. The check-ups will be available in every dental department of the Public Hospital in Cyprus until 11th of December.
Moreover, in cooperation with the Dentistry Association of Cyprus, the hospitals will be distributing education materials.
According to the statistical data, over the last 15 years, there were more than 470 occurrences of mouth cancer registered in Cyprus. According to the WHO, with the proper preventive measures, this figure can be reduced by 30%.
