Free trauma-informed LGBTQI+ workshop on self-expression to be held in Nicosia

Nicosia, Cyprus. A free, two-hour experiential workshop for LGBTQI+ people and allies will be held on Thursday at Prozak in Nicosia, offering a trauma-informed space to explore self-expression, courage and inner safety. The session will be conducted in English and requires mandatory registration.

Workshop focus and facilitation

The workshop, titled “The Courage to Express Your Voice,” will be led by integrative therapist and EFT Practitioner Christina Lefkati. It aims to help participants explore fear around visibility, coming out and authenticity, presenting these experiences as nervous system responses shaped by lived experience.

Content and tools

According to the organisers, the group will use reflective dialogue, simple science and body-based tools to learn how to work with fear rather than against it. Participants will receive an overview of how fear and the nervous system work, why self-expression can feel vulnerable, and practices intended to create safety in the body, including tapping techniques and practical tools for moments of vulnerability or truth-telling.

Project context, time and registration

The workshop is part of the EU co-funded project Safeguarding of LGBTIQ+ People’s Right to Health (SAFE-R) and is offered free of charge. It will take place on February 5 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Prozak in Nicosia, and registration is required via https://forms.gle/DJ7b4HsHQkChyxWn9.
