Paris, France. French police searched the Arab World Institute on Monday as part of an investigation into its former director, Jack Lang, and his connections to late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Investigation launched after US document release
Prosecutors opened a preliminary investigation into alleged tax fraud involving Lang, a former French culture minister, and his daughter after the United States Department of Justice released documents related to the case.
Institute declines immediate comment
The Arab World Institute said it was unable to provide immediate comment on the search.
Lang previously led Paris cultural centre
Lang headed the Paris-based cultural centre, which promotes Arab culture and civilisation, before stepping down from the position.
