Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus-based gaming investor GEM Capital said its portfolio of upcoming titles has surpassed five million combined Steam wishlists. The firm said this is the highest combined total of any gaming investment firm.
Portfolio rankings on Steam
The company said the milestone reflects Cyprus’ growing presence in the global gaming investment sector, noting that its portfolio includes five titles ranked among the 150 most wishlisted games on Steam.
Among the titles in Steam’s top 150, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era was ranked 11th and ILL was ranked 17th, placing both among the twenty most wishlisted titles on the platform.
The company said other ranked projects include Replaced at number 31, Atomic Heart 2 at number 100, and The CUBE at number 137.
Additional titles in development
GEM Capital said that, together with additional titles in development, the overall portfolio has accumulated more than 5 million wishlists on Steam.
It listed additional projects as The Eternal Life of Goldman, Hollywood Animal and Enginefall.
How the company describes wishlist figures
The firm said Steam wishlist totals are widely monitored across the games industry as an early signal of audience interest before a title’s official launch.
According to GEM Capital, wishlist figures provide a direct indication of player anticipation, particularly for major upcoming releases backed by investors and development studios.
Executive comments
“We’re genuinely excited to see how strongly players are responding to these games,” said GEM Capital managing director Kirill Gurskiy.
“Wishlists are one of the most direct ways players show what they’re waiting for, and reaching five million across the portfolio is a great moment for the teams building these projects,” Gurskiy added.
