Georgakis wins judo bronze for Cyprus at Commonwealth Games

Glasgow, United Kingdom. Odysseas Georgakis won bronze in the men’s under-81kg judo category at the Commonwealth Games late on Saturday after defeating Fernand Nkero of Gabon.

The medal was the fourth secured by Cyprus judokas at the Games, which conclude on Sunday.

On Friday, Sofia Asvesta won silver in the women’s under-52kg category.

In the men’s under-66kg category, Giorgi Balartashvili won silver and Petros Christodoulides took bronze.
