Home for Cooperation to host guided Nicosia walk and Cypriot food-European wine tasting

Nicosia, Cyprus. The Home for Cooperation will host two events in late February and early March, including a guided walk around Nicosia and a culinary tasting featuring Cypriot food paired with European wines.

Guided walk examines Nicosia’s contested past

The first event, co-organised with AHDR, will take place on February 28 as the Home’s first Nicosia Walk of 2026. Facilitated by Maria Georgiou, the walk will explore Cyprus’ contested past and its continuing legacy.

According to organisers, the walk will examine how national, gender and social “walls” continue to structure the city and everyday life. It will depart from the Home for Cooperation at 10am and return at 12pm.

The event is listed as “Nicosia Walk: The enduring legacies of a contested past: National, social, and gendered walls in Cyprus.” Registrations are required, and the fee is €7. Tickets and registration details are available at https://www.home4cooperation.info/.

Tasting dinner pairs Cypriot menu with European wines

A second event, titled “Tasting Series Vol.1 – Cypriot Food , European Wines,” is scheduled for March 7 at The Home Café at the Home for Cooperation.

Guests will be served a six-course tasting menu inspired by Cyprus’ cuisine paired with four wines from various regions in Europe. Curated by Munevver Gurel, the organisers said each dish and pairing is designed to tell a story of tradition, terrain and contemporary expression.

The dinner will run from 7pm to 10pm and is described as an intimate dining experience for a limited number of guests. The ticket price is €60, and tickets are available through https://www.home4cooperation.info/.
