Beit Shemesh, Israel. At least eight people were killed on Sunday when an Iranian ballistic missile struck the city of Beit Shemesh, just outside Jerusalem. Israel’s Magen David Adom said about 20 others were injured.
Casualties and injuries
The Magen David Adom (MDA) ambulance service confirmed the death toll and said approximately 20 people were injured. Two of the wounded were reported to be in serious condition.
Emergency response
The Israeli military deployed search and rescue teams alongside medical personnel to the impact site. A helicopter was sent to assist in evacuating the wounded to nearby hospitals.
