Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) issued a reminder of two new calls for proposals from the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) to strengthen industrial application of technology and enterprise-based research in Cyprus.
New RIF programmes
The newly launched programmes include “Proof of Concept” for the industrial application of technology and know-how and “Research in Enterprises” focused on business-led innovation and development.
The Proof of Concept programme supports the preliminary exploration of potential industrial applications of technology or expertise. The Research in Enterprises programme focuses on the creation of new products, services and production methods, or the substantial improvement of existing ones, by Cypriot companies.
Both initiatives aim to support the development of innovative products and services and promote the commercial exploitation of research results, strengthening cooperation between the research community and the business sector.
MatchMe collaboration tool
The RIF also introduced a new digital tool called MatchMe, designed to facilitate the search for partners and the creation of new collaborations between businesses and research organisations.
Information event and registration
Keve, in cooperation with the RIF through the Enterprise Europe Network activities, announced a free information event to support participation in the programmes.
The event will take place on April 28, 2026 at 15:00 at the Keve building, providing guidance to interested companies and organisations on available funding opportunities and collaboration tools.
Registration is open until April 24, 2026, with participants required to submit their interest ahead of the deadline.
Broader aims
Keve said the initiative is intended to encourage wider engagement of Cypriot businesses in research and innovation funding schemes, while promoting stronger links between enterprises and research institutions.
It also reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen the island’s innovation ecosystem, supporting the commercialisation of research and enhancing the competitiveness of local firms.
Will your organisation register for the April 28, 2026 information event before the April 24 deadline?
